Allegory of the cave

Oil on Canvas,  24*30 Inch

“Allegory of the cave” is a Socratic dialogue in “The Republic” by Plato. It is considered the most relevant social metaphor till date. Once you have walked into the light of awareness; after living in a cave of ignorance for ages, you would perceive things very differently; and may be ridiculed or penalized by people around you.

Light of awareness is far more alluring & gratifying than living with a complacent, conditioned mindset, accepting things as they are; and NOT questioning anything.
